Children’s Ministries
Where growing in Jesus is one great adventure!
We accomplish this by:
- Creating a safe and exciting environment for kids – birth through sixth grade.
- Having passionate and committed volunteers who model for kids how to develop a deep and personal relationship with Jesus Christ and live it out on a daily basis.
We create this environment through:
- Fun, powerful worship
- Heartfelt prayer
- Great biblical teaching
- Engaging interactive activities
Your children can join the adventure Sundays, at 9:00 am and 10:40 am and Wednesdays at 6:30 pm with our AWANA program. During the summer we have an amazing 5-day Vacation Bible School (VBS) that your kids will look forward to every year.
We also have an amazing VBS each summer, along with trips to summer camps for the 5th & 6th graders.
If you have any questions about the programs of AdventureLand, please contact Stacey Sailor, Director of Children’s Ministries at stacey@newcov.com or 559.298.0688.
SURF Preteen Ministry
SURF exists to partner with families in teaching preteens about the love of Jesus to grow them as disciples for Him.
Why a Preteen Ministry?
Kids in 5th and 6th grade are at a very transitional point in their lives, neither wanting to be treated as kids, but not yet ready to be treated as teens. It is SURF’s desire to minister to preteens by offering Biblical teaching and wild programming that is built just for them. Therefore we value:
Jesus-Centered – we want preteens to place Jesus at the center of their lives and for all ministry decisions to be focused on Jesus and be determined by seeking first where He is leading.
Biblical Teaching – we want preteens to be accurately and correctly taught the truth of God’s word and to dig deeper into it, using it to challenge how they live their lives.
Cultural Relevance – we want preteens to understand how God’s Word affects how they live their life, amidst their specific preteen world and to seek first God’s Kingdom in the midst of their decisions in life.
Relationships – we want preteens to develop relationships with those that can encourage them spiritually and point them towards God, including leaders and mentors who will help guide them to draw closer to God and provide positive role models.
Fun Environment - we want preteens to enjoy learning God’s word and enjoy making friends and participating in life-changing activities.
Service – we want preteens to learn that God calls us to be servants of all and to live out what it means to be a servant of Jesus.
Evangelism – we want preteens to develop relationships with those who do not know Jesus in order to share Him with them.
