In Defense of the Faith: A Symposium

Invest in the future by sponsoring In Defense of the Faith - Dr. Robert A. Morey, at the 20th Annual Christian Education Conference, stated that the average Bible-believing local church has a variety of dynamic programs for children and youth but loses between 75 and 90 percent of the young people that go through the church's doors. Dr. Morey has identified the ten significant causes as to why we are losing so many of our well-churched youth. He calls them Satan's Ten Campus Curses. Morey says the number one problem is that Christian young people have never been more ignorant of the Bible, theology, apologetics, and philosophy than today. “They do not know what they believe or why they believe it. They can't defend it.” He also notes that instead of viewing the high school and college years as a wonderful opportunity to be a champion for God, our youth are defensive. He says, “Instead of being a leader for righteousness by taking over the school-elected offices, clubs, newspapers, and activities and then using them to teach the Christian view of things, they retreat into isolationism. Today's youth are not moving forward for the cause of Christ.”

As a first step in turning this problem into a victory for Christ, NewCov has linked arms with Fresno Pacific University to present an exciting training-event designed to equip Christians (particularly students) to not only defend their faith, but to be change-agents in an increasingly secularized society.

At that dinner, Mr. D’Souza will share his heart, answer questions and present each sponsor a signed copy of his book. These generous supporters will have reserved seating at the debate and symposium. It will also be our privilege to acknowledge these sponsors in the symposium program and web site.
  
• Event Sponsor - A $500.00 donation will provide these sponsors with acknowledgement in the symposium program and web site, a signed copy of "What's So Great About Christianity?" by Dinesh D'Souza and reserved seating at the debate and symposium.
