Lead worship, Pastor the worship ministry, plan Sunday services, and develop new teams and leaders.

The five most influential books you’ve ever read?
  1. Abba’s Child and The Ragamuffin Gospel by Brennan Manning (I feel like these books are part 1 and part 2 of the same book) anything and everything by Brennan Manning has been life-changing.

  2. If You Want to Walk on Water You Have to Get Out of the Boat by John Ortberg.

  3. Fathered by God by John Eldredge.

  4. What Your Body Knows About God: How We Are Designed to Connect, Serve, and ThriveBy Rob Moll.

  5. The Tale of Three Kings by Gene Edwards.

Your most guilty pleasure?

Large amounts of coffee every morning. Staying up really late watching a movie on Netflix. Ice cream.

What is the most beautiful thing you’ve ever seen?

I think all of California is a gem- you just have to look for it. My favorite place of all is Big Sur where the mountains meet the ocean.

What is the first question you will ask God when you get to heaven?

I have no idea! Maybe… “Will the Vikings ever win the Super-Bowl again?” That one’s for you Scott G. Maybe this, “why did you make me so pink and so apt to be sunburned and then put me in California?”

How Long have you been at NewCov?

I am the official “newbie.”

Names of your spouse, children, grandchildren?

Melanie, Eden (19), Emily (17), Tilly (10).

How do you spend your leisure time?

Watching TV with my family, cycling, surfing (not very often living in Fresno). I’m a big fan of documentaries on any subject… I love the Planet Earth series narrated by David Attenborough!

Where did you grow up?

I grew up in a little coastal town about 30 mi south of San Francisco called Half Moon Bay.

Most fulfilling part of your role at NewCov?

I live to see people come to Jesus and begin their faith journey with him. I love to see people enjoying the awesome presence of God and to hear about the Holy Spirit’s work in their lives.
