Camp AdventureLand is the place to be for kids ages birth through 4th grade. Each morning kids will head to their age specific classes for a great time of singing, games, snacks, and creative teaching through God’s Word. All training is age specific and built to help kids grow in wisdom and their relationship with their Creator.
Kids (1st-4th grade) come together in our AdventureLand Theater for a time that just may be the best hour of their week, followed by engaging and fun age and gender specific small groups.
New here? Head to the Guest Services Ranger Station, where one of our outstanding Rangers will show you around the camp, and help you get registered.
CORE Training is our unique ministry where kids will be training in mind, body, soul, and spirit including: weekly scripture memory and real physical fitness training.
CORE Training at Camp AdventureLand runs every Wednesday from September-May for ages 0-4th grade.

There are only 60 spots available per session, and limited to kids 3 years to 6th grade. Kids must be pre-registered at least one week prior to the event to attend.
Our very popular Art of Parenting class returns Wednesday nights from TBA. This class, for parents with kids of ALL ages, is taught by the Hughes and O’Keefes.
Camp AdventureLand desires to minister to ALL kids, and see ALL kids grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ. We’d like to welcome you to our Adventure Buddies ministry. Kids with special needs are ministered to in ways that fit them best, whether in our Adventure Buddies classroom, or in a classroom with a buddy of their own.
For more information, or to enroll your child in the Adventure Buddies program, email Kylie Campama.
Our Home Town Heroes event is a free, family friendly event, from 10:00AM-1:00PM, that offers children a hands-on opportunity to explore a variety of machinery and to meet the people that build, protect and serve the local communities. Vehicles on display will include construction trucks, emergency responders, tractor-trailers, utility trucks, police cars, and much more! We will also feature food trucks and many other family-friendly activities.
Each summer, NewCov is proud to present one of the largest VBAs in Fresno.
The 2023 theme will officially be released on Easter Sunday (April 9th).
Registration begins on Easter Sunday (April 9) at the “Early Bird” rate. “Early Bird” rate will only last until Mother’s Day (May 14).
Registration for VBA/X 2023 will be ONLINE only.
This year, Trunk R Treat will move off of Halloween night for the very first time. Kids ages 6th grade and under can come and get loads of candy from almost 100 uniquely decorated cars, in a truly safe environment. There will also be food trucks so no one has to cook that night.
We love to reward our kids who are living for Jesus. Throughout Camp AdventureLand kids have ways to earn “bones” by being on time, memorizing scripture, demonstrating fruits of the Spirit, and spending time “in the Word”.
Bones can be spent on the 1st and 3rd Sundays at the Bones Store (for prizes like Chuck ‘E Cheese) after service.
Store is located in the AdventureLand Theater.
Pastor Of Kids
Hey y’all. My wife, Tara Jo and I have been ministering at NewCov since 2009 in various roles throughout the Family Ministry world. Mostly as the Kids and Preteen Pastor. We have 3 teenage boys, who all have chosen to follow Jesus: Miles, Ty and Eli.
I have the privilege of getting to do a lot of public speaking at both camps for preteens, as well as, conferences throughout the United States as a representative of a great organization called fourfivesix.org.
While I get paid to do what I love, Tara Jo, is known as the girl whisper, despite having three boys, because she is one of the wisest mentors for young girls on the planet!
Kids Ministry Administrator
I’ve been married to Dan for 26 years, and we’ve been at NewCov even longer! We have 4 kids: 2 are in college (1 of those is in the Air National Guard), and 2 are in high school. We love traveling and serving at our church!
Early Childhood Ministry Director
As the Early Childhood Director, I always say that I have the best job in the building. I get to use glitter and play dough and teach kids about Jesus! Such a fun job! When I’m not working, I love being at home with my family. My husband Kevin and I have been married for almost 30 years. We have five children, 3 grandbabies, 10 chickens, 2 dogs, 2 cats, a bunny, and a turtle. Needless to say, we have a house full and we absolutely love it! Whether at home or at work, I have the awesome opportunity to pour the love of Jesus into the next generation.
