MEET YOUR NEWCOV TEAM

Hey! I married my beautiful Wife Karissa in September of 2016. In May of 2020 we welcomed our firstborn son, Jack, into the world and in December of 2022 we welcomed our second son, Jones. We love spending time at the coast, in the mountains, or at a local park. Basically, we love the outdoors! I’ve been in ministry since 2012 and my first 9 years were spent in Student Ministry. In July of 2021, God brought me to NewCov to serve the Young Adults, Connect Groups, and Partnership ministries. We are thrilled to be a part of the NewCov family!

Todd joined the NewCov staff in 2018 and has a passion for leading the church into the presence of God through music and building dynamic and creative ministry teams. Todd has been married to Melanie since 1995 and has three daughters and one granddaughter! His interest include spending time with his family, long bike rides in the mountains, going on local or global adventures, watching good movies, history, following geo-politics, making music, building bikes, and eating ice cream.

After serving 8 years active duty in the military, and obtaining my B.A. in Pastoral Ministry, I pastored in Eugene, Oregon before God led me to Fresno in 2004. My wife, Karen, and I are a blended family… I have four daughters and she has four sons (I already know what you’re thinking LOL!). We also have five grandchildren.  I have been a part of NewCov’s staff since 2021 and I have to say, “I love the people of this church!”

I grew up in Avenal, CA. I attended West Hills Community College and Fresno Pacific University. I joined NewCov in 1999 after serving as the Young Adult Pastor at Peoples Church here in Fresno. While serving there, I was blessed to lead mission trips to Bosnia, Germany, Mexico, and Russia.

I love to run and ride the spin bike. On most Saturday mornings you can find me and my wife, Kristy, out at Woodward park running with their friends. Most of all, I love spending time with my wife and best friend, Kristy.

Don’t be surprised if you spot me at a local Starbucks enjoying a cup of dark roast coffee and visiting with friends. My wife Kristy and I have been married since March of 2000, and have 2 grown children: Boyce and Rebekah, and 1 terrific grandson, Boyce.

Hey, NewCov family! My life with Christ began when I was five years old. I was raised by loving, faith-filled parents. Sandy and I were married in 1980. She’s amazing! We like seeing people come to know and grow in Christ, as well as hiking, biking (her), jogging (me), and hosting family gatherings. She’s a home organizer, and I’ve been pastoring for 40 years. We have four great kids and their four remarkable spouses, along with 12 amazing grandkids. Our family gatherings are often creative and always loud! So grateful and glad to be part of NewCov!

I have been attending NewCov since 2016. My wife, Nancy, and I have been married for 46 years.  We have three grown children, Lesley, Laurie, and Ross.  We also have 6 grandchildren that we delight in.  I have been a Pastor in various churches for 25+ years, in a variety of positions. In my free time, I enjoy studying history, personal finance, and investing.  I am also an avid sports enthusiast. Here at NewCov I enjoy participating in the music ministry as a keyboardist.

Hey everyone! My name is Ryan Ruch and I have been on the New Covenant staff since June 2023 serving in production and tech. I have a passion working in audio, lighting, and video fields of production and I hope to bring joy to people with the things I do best. In my spare time, I like to produce and record music as well as stay fit and travel.

I began attending NewCov in 2017 when my now husband, Ryan, and I started dating. We got married in 2019 and now have a beautiful baby girl. Together we enjoy going to the Farmer’s Market, good coffee, hiking, going to the beach, and spending time in God’s creation! I am so grateful to be a part of the women’s ministry team here at NewCov and look forward to all God has in store.

My husband, Jack, and I have been married 28 years. We love NewCov! We have 2 children and we enjoy spending time together as a family.

Hi, I’m Stacey! I’ve been attending NewCov since 1999, and on the NewCov team since 2001. Starting in Children’s Ministry, and now working in administration and event planning. I have so much fun planning events and decorating the church for all the different seasons. My husband Scott and I have three amazing daughters, and currently one amazing son-in-law. When I’m not at NewCov I’m probably redecorating my house, watching Hallmark movies, or College Gameday on the couch with our cute dog, Emmy.

Hey NewCov! I’ve been the Children’s Ministry Director since October, 2023. I have had the joy of serving students of all ages for almost 30 years. My heart is to see kids fall in love with Jesus as they recognize the holiness of God, the sinfulness of man, and the redemption of Jesus Christ. I graduated from Fresno Pacific with a BA in Liberal Studies. I am the loudest laugher you’ll ever meet, and I laugh at all my own jokes. If we haven’t met, I hope we get to soon!

Hi! My name is Miranda Borman. I am the Mosaic Special Needs Director here at NewCov. I have been attending New Covenant since August 2020. I got married in November 2022 to my wonderful husband Tyler, then became a mama to our sweet boy Beckett in August 2023 and have another sweet boy, Callum due March 2025. I have been working with children and adults with special needs since 2019, which brings me endless joy! When I am outside of the office, you can find me on the east side of NewCov’s campus coaching GameTime Tball and soccer with my husband. When I’m not on a field, I’m usually spending quality time with my boys, friends and family. I am super excited to see this ministry thrive with God’s lead!

Hello NewCov! I’ve been working with preschool age children for over 20 years, which have been the best years of my life. There is something so special about planting the seed of Jesus Christ in the next generation and watching their faith grow and flourish. I tied the knot in 1999 to my amazing husband Tim. We have 5 children, 2 cats and one sweet dog named Sadie. When I’m not working, I spend my time painting, taking long walks with my dog, and whipping up delicious cuisine for family and friends. My favorite pastime is watching my children partake in their extra curricular activities.

For over two decades, I have been passionate about Early Childhood Education, dedicating my heart to nurturing young minds. Community, culture, and family are at the core of who I am. You can find me sharing meals with loved ones, enjoying live music, or dancing to the rhythm of Latin beats when I am not on campus. Each day, I strive to make a positive impact, reflecting the love and grace that I believe Jesus embodied.

Hey NewCov! My name is Malik Black and I am blessed and honored to join the NewCov youth team. I was born in Indiana and moved to Southern California when I was 10 years old. I have always served in youth ministry since graduating high school because I loved helping students find Jesus for themselves! In 2023 I graduated with a Masters in Leadership Theology at Life Pacific University. I have a beautiful wife Breann and an amazing son Stephen who are my world. Basketball holds a special place in my heart and spending time with family doing anything! I always felt a call on my life for full-time ministry and am excited to start the journey here at NewCov!

What’s up! My name is Branden Moroney and I am blessed to be a part of this NewCov Youth Team! I have the most amazing, beautiful fiancé Emily, that I am so excited to marry! In my free time I love to golf and hangout at coffee shops! I just graduated from Grand Canyon University with a Biblical Studies -Youth Ministry degree. I have a growing passion for youth because that is where the Lord found me, and I want to invest in the present and future generation of the church.

Hey NewCov family! My name is Taylor Phillips. I graduated from the Master’s University in 2023 with my BA in Christian ministries and I’m engaged to my best friend Nick, who I can’t wait to marry! I’ve been on staff at New Cov since July 2022 and have worked in ministry since 2019. The best part of my job is watching students learn to use their musical talents that God has gifted them with to bring Him glory. I love watching students hone in on their talents to help lead their peers in worship. When I’m not at NewCov, you can usually find me on some adventure in the mountains or at the beach!

I am deeply committed to my faith and have dedicated my life to serving God and his people within our church community. With a heart full of love and a desire to make a positive impact, I began volunteering at NewCov since 2015. Outside of my church involvement, I cherish my family, which includes my husband of 47 years, Jack, our two children, Chris and Kristina, and 5 beautiful grandchildren.

Pavlo grew up in Ukraine and lived there for 38 years before moving to Fresno with his family! Pavlo has 5 daughters, 3 son-in-laws and 4 grandchildren. He has been working at the church since November 2013. He loves spending time with family and going fishing and skiing.

I was born in Kamianets, Podilskyi in Ukraine and immigrated to the United States with my family in 2009. I was baptized in 2019 and have been serving in ministry ever since. I married my beautiful wife Veronika in August 2023, and we don’t have kids just yet… But we do have an adorable Siamese mix cat named Millie. In my spare time I like to go off-roading, kayaking, spear-fishing, and working on rusty, old jeeps.

Hey NewCov Family! My name is Nicholas Rocha and I work on the facilities team here at NewCov. I love to go to the mountains whenever possible and golf with my girlfriend, Taylor. You can sometimes find me on Sunday mornings playing guitar on the NewCov Worship Team!
