A discipleship-focused bible study program at the Event/Brown House, meeting weekly on Wednesday nights. We’ll dive deeper into faith and grow together. Join us at 7:00PM and be part of this meaningful experience.

We believe there is a great benefit to teens being in the main church gathering on Sunday mornings. So, sit together as a family, or students are welcome to sit with us on the right side of the Sanctuary every Sunday!

At our High School gathering, students will engage in three things:
• Worship through music
• Bible teaching
• Community with other students in Connect Groups

A week on the houseboats is unlike any camp you have ever experienced!
• Sleeping on the roof under the stars
• Making meals together on your boat
• Wakeboarding, surfing & tubing during free time
• Playing cards & floating around
• Evening chapel as the sun sets
Students get to break away from the crazy world and immerse themselves in a Christ-centered community for a whole week. Every year we hear so many stories about how students experience the heart of Christ in new ways and make new friends. We cannot wait to see all that the Lord has in store for us this summer!

Hey NewCov! My name is Malik Black and I am blessed and honored to join the NewCov youth team. I was born in Indiana and moved to Southern California when I was 10 years old. I have always served in youth ministry since graduating high school because I loved helping students find Jesus for themselves! In 2023 I graduated with a Masters in Leadership Theology at Life Pacific University. I have a beautiful wife Breann and an amazing son Stephen who are my world. Basketball holds a special place in my heart and spending time with family doing anything! I always felt a call on my life for full time ministry and am excited to start the journey here at NewCov!

Hey NewCov Family! I’ve been on staff at NewCov since July of 2022 and have worked in ministry since 2019. My favorite part of working in the Creative Department is helping show others that worship is often more than just singing. I currently attend The Masters University with a major in Christian Ministries and will graduate in 2023. When I’m not at NewCov, you’ll usually find me on a pool deck coaching water polo or playing an instrument!

I’ve been married to Dan for 26 years, and we’ve been at NewCov even longer! We have 4 kids: 2 are in college (1 of those is in the Air National Guard), and 2 are in high school. We love traveling and serving at our church!
