Job Description

 

 

The Facilities Director position is the most important link between our Maintenance Team and church ministry, our church community, and the congregation. This person serves as the Chief behind the scenes ambassador for all weekday activity and is usually the one most responsible for creating a positive and inviting impression of the church and its ministry, while receiving very little credit for it. Additionally, the Facilities Director represents an important facility resource for the staff and our congregation. He or She will oversee maintenance of all of the vital facility aspects of the physical building providing resources for the church body to function and minister to our membership and community. He or she will also provide vision and direction for our facilities as it relate to our overall mission and vision in our community.

 

 

SUPERVISION

The Facilities Director will report to the Lead Pastor for all aspects of the job, but may also receive direction from other staff members as necessary.

 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

The Facilities Director will be responsible for:

  1. Taking responsibility of the vision, maintenance, and stewardship of all of the church’s facilities. Including scheduling, interaction with vendors, coordinating contractors, pursuing alternative revenue streams, and upholding the core values of the organization.
  2. Coordinating the maintenance staff and the daily operations of the church. Keeping the priorities in mind and ensuring that ministry happens according to the schedule. Also to be flexible in your daily routine to allow for unforeseen circumstances that often arise.

 

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Energetic and take pride in keeping the facilities in tip top shape
  2. Physically capable of carrying out the required activities
  3. Flexible in availability to accommodate the schedule of Church activities
  4. Able to take direction from multiple sources and prioritize tasks according to needs of church.
  5. Dependable, responsible, and self-motivated.
  6. Must have regular timely attendance during stated or negotiated hours.
  7. Ability to reach, bend, stoop, kneel, and stand for extended periods of time.
  8. Must have the ability to lift a minimum of 40 pounds and to have complete mobility in building and grounds activities.
  9. Good knowledge of basic mechanical functions of New Covenant Community Church equipment.
  10. Ability to organize, coordinate, and schedule cleaning tasks for maximum efficiency.

 

 

RECOMMENDED QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Good emotional intelligence (including the ability to perceive the needs of others)
  2. Self-starter, internally motivated, good intuitive skills, organized and timely
  3. Construction background is beneficial
  4. Ability to coordinate with vendors and contractors is essential
  5. Computer expertise is beneficial

 

 

OTHER EXPECTATIONS AND OPPORTUNITIES

  1. Candidates must be in agreement with New Covenant Community Church’s statement of faith.
  2. Involvement in other ministry tasks and interests will be encouraged as time and job responsibilities allow
  3. Participation in regular staff gatherings and personal development activities
  4. A good faith commitment to serve at least 2 years in this position, if hired (baring any unforeseen or extenuating personal or family circumstances)

PRODUCTION ASSISTANT

Part Time | 20 Hours per week

Job Description

 

 

The New Covenant Community Church Production Assistant will help our Production Director and Worship Pastor in leading teams of both staff and volunteers and will assist with recruiting, training, scheduling, and communication – while providing spiritual leadership and genuine care for the well-being of the volunteer team. Also to maintain current standards of operation, improve systems and execution of production, and pioneer new ways for the production team to create meaningful ways for the congregation to experience Jesus through production. From live audio to lighting to visuals, this leader will help oversee the technical aspects of the experiences and help lead the volunteers who make it happen. The Production Assistant needs to adopt a collaborative mindset, be organized, creative, and want to make disciples more than simply complete tasks.

 

 

PURPOSE

To use your creative and technical gifts and talents to serve the Kingdom of God and New Covenant Community Church to fulfill the purposes of the church through production and creative arts. New Covenant Community Church exists to love and lead people into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ.

 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

The Production Assistant will be responsible for:

  1. Set-up and operation of audio, video, or lighting for services or other church related events
    including adult ministries or any other department within NewCov
  2. Recording and editing audio or video
  3. Assisting with venue improvements or set/stage changes
  4. Any other tasks necessary as determined by the Production Director or Worship Pastor

 

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Ability to work well within a team environment
  2. Ability to keep calm and maintain a peaceful, pleasant attitude in stressful situations
  3. Need to be an effective verbal communicator that deals well with people
  4. Must have a positive attitude: willing to “dig in” and do what is necessary to complete the task at hand
  5. Desire to serve God and grow in your relationship with him
  6. Understanding of technical systems including lighting, audio, and video
  7. Ability to create and edit video
  8. Ability to be a continual learner in developing areas of audio, video, and computer systems related to
    A/V
