“Lord,” Martha said to Jesus, “if you had been here, my brother would not
have died.”
John 11:21

God promises to bless your work and your business.

Honor the Lord with your wealth, with the first fruits of all your crops; then your barns will be filled to overflowing, and your vats will brim over with new wine
Proverbs 3:9-10

God promises you’ll be happier.

You should remember the words of the Lord Jesus: “It is more blessed to give than to receive.”
Acts 20:35

God promises your influence will increase.

The world of the generous gets larger and larger; the world of the stingy gets smaller and smaller.
Proverbs 11:24

Whoever is kind to the poor lends to the Lord, and he will reward them for
what they have done.
Proverbs 19:17

JESUS ANSWERS WHO.

31 When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, he
will sit on his glorious throne. 32 All the nations will be gathered before him,
and he will separate the people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. 33 He will put the sheep on his right and the goats on his left.
Matthew 25:31-33

JESUS SAYS IT’S THE DOING THAT MAKES A DIFFERENCE.

36 I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after
me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’ 37 “Then the righteous will
answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty
and give you something to drink? 38 When did we see you a stranger and
invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? 39 When did we see you
sick or in prison and go to visit you?’ 40 “The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell
you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of
mine, you did for me.’
Matthew 25:36-40

Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth.
2 Timothy 2:15
