9 This, then, is how you should pray:

“Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be your name,
10 your kingdom come,
your will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.
11 Give us today our daily bread.
12 And forgive us our debts,
as we also have forgiven our debtors.
13 And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from the evil one.”

Matthew 6:9-13

The Lord’s Prayer is…

MORE THAN A SALUTATION.

This, then, is how you should pray: “‘Our Father in heaven, hallowed
be your name.
Matthew 6:9

In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.
Genesis 1:1

12 Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God— 13 children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband’s will, but born of God.
John 1:12-13

The Spirit you received does not make you slaves, so that you live in fear again; rather, the Spirit you received brought about your adoption to sonship. And by him we cry, “Abba, Father.”
Romans 8:15

MORE THAN VERBAL PRAISE, IT’S A CALL TO ACTION.

“‘Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name.”

15 “But as he who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct, 16 since it is written, ‘You shall be holy, for I am holy.’”
1 Peter 1:15-16

Since we have these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from every defilement of body and spirit, bringing holiness to completion in the fear of God.
2 Corinthians 7:1

AN INVITATION TO COMMUNE WITH GOD.

Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and eat with him, and he with me.
Revelation 3:20
