Sin separates us from God.

God is writing His story in you, for the sake of the world, and for the glory of His great name.

19 For God was pleased to have all his fullness dwell in him (in Jesus), 20 and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through his blood, shed on the cross. 21 Once you were alienated from God and were enemies in your minds because of your evil behavior. 22 But now he has reconciled you by Christ’s physical
body through death to present you holy in his sight, without blemish and free from accusation.
Colossians 1:19-22

1. RECONCILIATION BEGINS WITH GOD.

God reconciled everything through Christ.

17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come. The old has gone, the new is here. 18 All of this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ…
2 Corinthians 5:17-18

For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith – and this is not from yourselves, it is a gift of God.
Ephesians 2:8

2. RECONCILIATION MOVES OUTWARD TO OTHERS.

We are reconciled to reconcile.

18 …and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: 19 that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting people’s sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation.
2 Corinthians 5:18-19

3. Reconciliation heals broken systems.

We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God.
2 Corinthians 5:20

If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone.
Romans 12:18
